Unlike an alarm controlled by the manufacturer’s Keyless system, the MAX 4.0 has its own remote controls and operates independently of the original electronic key. It adds genuine engine immobilisation to the protection already fitted to the vehicle.

• Arming and disarming: direct control of the protection using the supplied remote controls.
• Additional engine immobilisation: interruption of a circuit required for the engine to operate.
• Automatic rearming: the system returns to standby when it has been disarmed without the vehicle subsequently being used.
• Panic function: voluntary activation of the siren to attract attention or deter someone near the vehicle.
• Alarm memory: indication that the alarm was triggered while the owner was away.
• Silent mode: use of certain functions without an audible confirmation, depending on the selected configuration.

Inspection and certificate for your insurance company

With the 4.0-DIY + Compliance option, TecnoGlobe inspects the installation, connections, engine immobilisation and alarm operation at our workshop in Viesville. If the installation complies with the manufacturer’s instructions and the applicable criteria, a certificate for your insurance company will be issued.

The inspection covers the operation of the remote controls, siren, indicators, engine immobilisation and the various sensors built into the alarm unit.

Approval of the MAX 4.0 does not automatically make a customer-installed system compliant. The certificate is issued only after the installation has been inspected and provided that it is compliant.

Plug & Play wiring harness: install without modifying the original wiring

When a compatible version is available, the Plug & Play wiring harness connects directly to the motorcycle’s original connectors. It simplifies DIY installation and provides a clean connection for the alarm’s main functions, including the engine immobilisation provided by the wiring harness.

• No cutting of the main wiring loom: the original wiring is neither cut nor stripped.
• No splicing or soldering: the dedicated connectors reduce the risk of poor contacts and corrosion.
• Respect for the vehicle’s electronics: the connection takes transponder keys, CAN Bus systems and electronic control units into account.
• Reversible installation: the equipment can be removed cleanly without leaving any modification to the manufacturer’s wiring.

Optional perimeter and anti-intrusion protection

The MAX 4.0 can be combined with optional detection modules to protect more than the motorcycle itself. Depending on the selected module and installation configuration, this extension can monitor:

• the opening of a top case;
• the opening of panniers or compartments;
• a garage or storage-unit door;
• an access point, opening or protected area;
• a trailer or equipment parked nearby.

When a sensor detects an opening or intrusion, it sends the information to the alarm unit installed on the motorcycle to trigger the alert.
