Optional crash-bar clamps for tubular mounting

Does your adventure bike or touring motorcycle have tubular crash bars? A pair of additional clamps allows you to attach the light brackets to them, provided the clamps are compatible with the tube diameter.

For tubes measuring 22 to 30 mm in diameter, discover our pair of 22–30 mm mounting clamps for motorcycle auxiliary LED lights. These clamps allow you to mount the lights on crash bars or other compatible tubes.

These crash-bar clamps are sold separately. They complement the light brackets and are not included in this offer.

Wiring your ADD.BALL lights: why use a relay wiring harness?

To install your ADD.BALL auxiliary LED driving lights, you need a suitable electrical circuit with appropriate protection and switching.

On modern motorcycles with a CAN bus system, the original lighting circuits may be electronically monitored. Connecting additional accessories directly to these circuits can trigger error messages or protective shutdowns.

Our KIT.WIRING universal prewired relay wiring harness provides a useful way to power the lights from the battery without drawing their operating current through the original lighting circuits.

An independent power supply from the battery

KIT.WIRING includes a 12V / 40A relay, a 15A fuse, a handlebar ON/OFF switch and two waterproof female connectors to wire to the accessories.

The power circuit is supplied directly from the motorcycle’s 12V battery. The two ADD.BALL lights can therefore have an independent, fuse-protected supply without drawing their operating current through the electronically monitored lighting circuits.

Automatic power cut-off when the ignition is switched off

A particularly useful feature: when the relay control is connected to a suitable ignition-switched +12 V supply, switching off the motorcycle’s ignition deactivates the relay and automatically cuts power to both lights.

Even if the handlebar switch remains ON, the ADD.BALL lights switch off with the ignition. This arrangement prevents the lights from accidentally remaining powered after you switch off the motorcycle.

On a motorcycle with electronically monitored circuits, the ignition-switched supply must be selected carefully to avoid interfering with the electronics. The wiring must also take account of the requirements for controlling auxiliary high-beam lights.

Please distinguish between the two functions: automatic cut-off with the ignition does not replace suitable switching that allows you to turn off the driving lights when traffic conditions require it, particularly when switching to dipped beam.

KIT.WIRING: the electrical accessory for your ADD.BALL lights

For a neat installation tailored to your motorcycle, combine your lights with our universal prewired 12V relay wiring harness:

  • Direct power supply from the battery.
  • 12V / 40A relay.
  • 15A fuse protection.
  • Handlebar ON/OFF switch.
  • Two waterproof female connectors to wire to the accessories.
  • Automatic cut-off with the ignition when the relay is controlled by a suitable ignition-switched supply.
  • A power circuit independent of the original CAN bus-controlled lighting circuits.

The connectors require suitable wiring to the lights. KIT.WIRING is a universal prewired harness, rather than a dedicated ADD.BALL Plug & Play assembly.

Using your auxiliary driving lights

ADD.BALL lights are auxiliary high-beam lights. Their adjustment and switching arrangement must allow you to turn them off when traffic conditions require it, particularly to avoid dazzling other road users.

Before installation, check the fitting and road-use requirements applicable to your motorcycle.

Questions before choosing your auxiliary lights

Will they fit my motorcycle?

Fitment depends on the space available, mounting points and electrical system. Tell us your motorcycle’s model and year so we can help you choose the accessories.

Are crash-bar clamps included?

The lights come with adjustable mounting brackets. Clamps for mounting on tubular bars are optional and sold separately. For compatible tubes measuring 22 to 30 mm, discover our pair of crash-bar mounting clamps for auxiliary lights.

Is a wiring harness included?

No. This offer includes the pair of ADD.BALL lights and their mounting brackets. The wiring harness, relay and switch are not included. Our KIT.WIRING prewired relay wiring harness is available separately.

Can ADD.BALL lights be fitted to CAN bus motorcycles?

The lights operate on 12V. On motorcycles with electronically monitored circuits, a suitable separate power supply is preferable to drawing the lights’ operating current directly from a monitored lighting circuit. KIT.WIRING allows you to create an independent supply from the battery. The control signal connection must still be suited to the motorcycle.

Do the lights switch off automatically when I turn off the ignition?

Yes, if the installation uses a relay controlled by a suitable ignition-switched +12 V supply. In this arrangement, switching off the ignition deactivates the relay and cuts power to the lights, even if the handlebar switch remains ON. This function depends on the wiring arrangement.

Does KIT.WIRING connect directly to the ADD.BALL connectors?

KIT.WIRING is a universal harness. Its two waterproof female connectors are supplied with contacts to wire to the accessories. Suitable wiring is therefore required to connect the ADD.BALL lights. A direct Plug & Play connection without any wiring work is not guaranteed.

Who should I contact for after-sales support?

Contact TecnoGlobe in Belgium directly. Advice is available in French.
